Obverse Die Crack CT06-1

This is a two-segment die crack. The first segment is contained within the ring and is usually plainly visible to the naked eye, spanning the width of the ring almost perfectly bisecting the maple leaf. The second segment is slightly jagged and crosses the ring at the A of REGINA extending into the lower-right corner of the portrait.

This is a progressive die crack and is found in two varieties:

  • CT06-1a: Just the crack in the maple leaf.
  • CT06-1b: Both cracks are present.
